I am getting conflicting information about the T230:

- T230/238, GSM 3-band, 4k Colors, 4-way joystick, on: http://www.sonyericsson.com/developer/site/global/products/phones/phonegallery/p_phonegallery.jsp

- T230 Mobile Phone GSM 900/1800, on the SonyEricsson T230 case, just purchased in Italy.

Is the T230 a 3-band or 2-band phone?

So why is it stated as 3-band on the SonyEricsson developers web site? Is the SonyEricsson site the most official source of info about SonyEricsson phones?

I bought mine after reading the specs on that web site!

Hi,

the T230 is dual band, GSM 900/1800Mhz.

The T226 is for the US market and is also dual band, 850/1900Mhz.

I thought that the official SonyEricsson developer site was the right place where to get "more" info.

Also, there is no T230 info among the phone models both in the UK and in the Italy zones of SonyEricsson web site (apart from a marketing presentation for kids, with no specs).

To end, clubsonyericsson site appears to be off line, so no info there, too.

Hi,

When I said you can get more info, I meant see a full list of the phones specifications.

http://www.clubsonyericsson.com worked for me just now, so maybe it was a temporary fault when you tried to access it ?

Anyway at http://www.sonyericsson.com I always click on the Press Room link and see the products from there. The product listing under the Press Room link lists the SE products for every market in the world, as well as all announced products (Coming Soon).

Often the various market pages (e.g. like UK or US regiosn) only list the phones relevant or released in that market, which is not the entire SE portfolio.

Finally the tri-band reference to the T230 spec. on the SE developer site is most definately an error. The T230 is dual band only.
