Just wanted to see if anyone hes recently (as in over the w'end) bought a P900 from CPW on Orange YP1000?
If so, in order to reduce the cost, when is the billing date set up for to minimise the £100pm tariff??

Def gonna get one, but want to clarify how long I will be on that higher tariff.

Thanks.

Cheers for that link,

but I have read that and I know that it is avail for free - i checked with the CPW in Perth, Scotland.

They had none in stock, and can get me one by Tues.

But, I want to knwo what dates would be better in order to minimise times on the YP1000 tariff.

Thanks

I purchased a P900 from CPW today.....but on getting home and reading the back of the CPW receipt in the terms and conditions of sale, under section 3.Terms of Payment, subsection 3.7 it says and I quote (quoting exactly 3.7 but summarised points 3.7.1 and 3.7.2)
"If you enter a nominated airtime contract and subsequently move onto a lower tariff or fail to fulfil your payment obligations during the minimum term of such contract, or you end such contract for any reason within 6 months of the commencement date and the relevant tariff includes a subsidised handset, you must, in additionto paying any other charges under such contract, either :
3.7.1 return mobile to CPW or
3.7.2 kepp the mobile but pay handset price upto £250, which you authorise us to take from your nominated debit or credit card.

Does this mean, that if i drop the tariff down from the £95 rate within the first 6 months, then i am liable to pay a clawback fee from CPW?
Has anyone else got these terms and conditions or has this just been recently introduced?

unlucky, I think theyve just introduced that I got mines a month ago and it says nothing like that.

All you have to do to be safe is report your debit card stolen to your bank and order a new one so they cant charge it.

Yeah, looks like I just missed out on this...or some stores have these new T&C's and others dont yet.
Will use my phone for a week and take it back and get policy cancelled.
Oh well, Shall hopefully pick one up on O2 soon.

I am now rather worried about the free P900's, and i have been looking through their website to try and find a complete set of terms and conditions, which i can't. But, I have just noticed the price of p900's has gone up. They are now £150 on YP1000 when they were free before. Looks like they have wised up. Anyone know where I can view their full T&C?

ALSO, i just checked the T&C from my previous p900 purchase, and on the back of the Carphone warehouse receipt, the A5 one, there is NO 3.7 so it looks like they have just introduced it!!!

I think everyone who doesnt have the 3.7 clause in their T&C's will be able to downgrade and get away without being charged clawback...even if they do get charged clawback, they could probably argue the point and produce their receipt and get it refunded....unsure as to how CPW would know, who has or who hasnt got the new T&C's as its on back of branded CPW A5 stationary.

Ive managed to track some P900's on the O2 network so picking them up this afternoon. Total contract cost £280 so not too bad all things considering.

Daz - They don't put full T's & C's on the website.

There are T's & C's for using the website which they apply
at the end of any online ordering process but these just
surround the use of the website and distance selling regs
rather than anything specific to a service contract.

I ordered a P900 on Monday just before the rise and
it has turned up with the usual A5 T's & C's ( no 3.7 )
so I got away with it, just.

I would suspect that they have not changed the
online T's & C's as the £150 handset cost is now comparable with
One Stop Phone Shop etc. Six month tie in would be
very prohibitive.
