I found this weird bug in my T610 when I tried something (I still have R1A, but maybe it's still there). Ok, I first noticed this when I was writing a sms and wanted to add a © at the end of the message. The sms counter suddenly jumped from SMS3 to SMS7!!! So I tried out some other symbols like ® and the same thing happened. When I'm in my first sms and I have less then 25 characters over and add such a symbol, it will only jump to SMS2. And in SMS2 tot SMS5. So there's no logic in this. Is this bug removed in the most recent firmwares or is this "normal" for a sms?

This bug existe in the t68i onwards. It also happens when you type in latin-based languages, like Portuguese, special caracters. I read somewhere that has to do with SE using 16-bit for these caracters and not 8-bits. It is strange that all new SE phones have this irritating bug but the p800 does not.

Ok, thanks for that info. So R4C won't solve this problem I guess. Hehe, so it's pretty useless that those symbols are available for SMS.

Its in the sms specifications, that when using certain character sets, the maximum length me the message is reduced by 50% if memory serves correctly. This message was posted from a T610
