I got a USB cable for my t68i.

Is there a way to map the usb port to a com port....i heard that it is doable ...but after much surfing i didn't find much related stuff except for a few leads that state it is doable

Any ideas?

Thnx!

I think you can buy an adapter. In case you want to do this because you have on USB posts on your PC, you can also buy an USB PCI card - they're quite affordable. This message was posted from a T310

You definitely can't do that. But as I've said, I think you can buy an USB-to-COM adapter. Run a google search or ask at a computer store. Also: change the damn software!!! What are you using? This message was posted from a T310

The USB cable should be recognized as a COM port by windows. Beucase it's basically a serial cable with a built-in usb-serial adapter.

If it is not currently mapped to any COM port, then you can't do it.

Go to device manager, highlight the device, click on one of the advance tabs, and change it.
