So I took the switch and bought a PowerBook G4 to replace my ThinkPad. So far, so good. But now I forgot to set it up for my P800 before I left to go away for christmas. So my question is: Is it possible without extra software, or do i need a modem driver like i did on XP?

Right after fiddling this message in from my P800, I decided to try Apple´s help menus on the topic. Imagine my shock and horror as it actually took my through the process, step by step, and it worked!?!
This is something they could have sold to Microsoft with their "Did this help? Yes - Start over again" mockery.

Ah! Mac Users... I've gotta G4 Cube running Panther...
I just about ordered my P900, God knows when it'll arrive with all the holidays and all. I am pretty excited actually, i've been stuck with this POS Nokia 7210 all year!
How does things work, with OS X and the P900. I trust iSync works nice with iCal's, Address Book syncing work?
I am curious too, do you get some form of USB lead with the fone, to connect it to the computer, or does all your transfers go via Bluetooth (I gotta get me a D-Link dongle!)
Any OS X users, i'd appreciate your reply...
Cheers

JUST switched eh? Sweet. I've been a Mac user since OS 10.0 (Cheetah) ... Would have never really considered it before OS X, but now I wouldn't choose anything other!

@ Lozi...
Psshh!

.. I wouldn't say Newbie *sob*, I been aboard since Mac OS became 'something'
Cheers guys, i had a few hassles ordering my fone from OneStopPhoneShop ... Faxed them thru copies of ma Passport and a Utility bill, that was on the 23rd, bad timing i know, things i'd assume should be good there-after. I hope. Only annoying thing is, IF things do turn good, i'll be in America for the next 3 weeks, and miss my P900's delivery! *sob*
Ah well, 'good things come to those who wait' ...
Merry Christmas y'all!
