I had the same problem this morning. However, after getting my phonecompany to send me an Autoupdate SMS for the GPRS Internet, Opera worked fine. (So now I use 3 GPRS setups.) The only other thing is that I had to restart the phone before it worked 100%.

The problem began before try to connect to the internet.
First of all i share my PC internet connection to P800 via bluetooth so with this way the phone don't connect to GPRS.
But even i stop the internet connection from PC Opera appears this message before try to connect to GPRS.

If i install back again the previous version of opera works fine.

Have you tried to download another copy of Opera 6.2_274 in case the one that you have is corrupted?

Edit: do you use Sman or Task Manager? If so check that you have at least 4mb of RAM free otherwise Opera will have problems

How much c: drive memory do you have left? (see control panel / storage maner or better still use Symbianware's file manager) Are you installing Opera on the d: as recommended?

All the time i try to install it to memory stick (128Mb) that have 21mb free.
I didn't try to install it on C: because needs 1800Kb and i have 2200 free only.

Uninstall opera first, after that there are always files left.
try (by using this filemanger) to find every Opera file on the phone and delete it (make sure you make a backup of your phone first, in case you f***-up your phone).

- manually clearing the cache (C:\System\data\Opera\cache4 folder)
- removing Opera.ini from C:\System\data\Opera
- removing Opera.ini from C:\System\apps\Opera
- removing global.dat from C:\System\data\Opera
- removing Opera file from C:\Documents\Opera
- removing Opera file c:\system\data\web\webhist.dat

Then install Opera on C:
And then install Opera on D: (this simply changes the drive, but it must work)

You only have 2.2mb free on the c: drive? Err...Opera will not run in this little free memory. Is there some data you can move to the d: drive to free-up the c: drive. Ideally you should have about 8mb free on the c: drive. When I use Opera (same version as you are trying to use) it can use 4mb of RAM!
