The master reset erase all datas stored, to erase you need a "software command", an hardware command as you search could only erase volatile datas.

But you can try with an hammer...

Hard-reset? That's holding the off-button for 10 seconds (and it works on the T68i too).

A Master Reset would be a VERY dangerouse thing to have on a button!!

A hard reset is similar to a master reset... Holding the off button for ten seconds would result in the so called "soft reset" .. I think...

scientific calculators have one, where you press a button with a needle when they go 'screwy' (technical term that one)

i dont beleive that the P8/P9 has one,

you could take it to someone with a tester to see what is up with it. But these are either service centres or local mobile repair shops.

I dont think there is a DIY method of getting it done.

Left bat out for a while and re try;

Wont start without Sim
Wont start with MS

Sounds like one of those with a short lifespan. It just managed to sneek past quality control to see the outside world. Pack it back into its cardboard coffin and send back for a new one. Tell them it was D.O.A.

RIP old phone

There must be one.On my Pocket Loox there is,but it restarts the Pocket PC.On my T610,when you remove the battery,there is one small button.I haven't used it yet,but I think that it's a restart button.Maybe you should take it to the service.I have had something simmilar with my T68m upgraded to T68i,before a year.It didn't start up and I thought that its battery is low,so I put the charger on.The lamp lighted red and after 2-3 hours I put off the charger and the red lamp was lighting red yet.Then I take it to the service and they told me that they can't make it because the repair will cost too much.
