It seems to be a common opinion that the Bluetooth Headsets (mine is a HBH-20) don't allow any "voice-magic", except for the voice-dialing of course..

But as I was using the smart way of storing voice-commands through the headset -

(press the "Answer"-button on the headset imediately after the bip, then store the voice-command, and after that beeing able to use the headset as the source for the bip, and read the command through it for enchansed recognition of voice-commands later)

- I experienced a couple of things:

1. This won't work the next time u wanna store commands, u have to do it all over again...

2. Imediately after I left the voice-command menu, in other words - seconds after I'd been storing voice-commands THROUGH the headset, i received a call.. And belive it or not:

I heard the caller's name in my ear-peace!!!

This actually means that this is theoretical possible!

But there should be a way of makin' it permanent!
This just worked a second or two, and I haven't experienced it since this one time.

It's just so ****ing annoying not to be able to hear the callers name, there are actually several callers I prefer not to answer.. And when the display ain't in sight, what do I do to recognize the caller??

And also, is anybody able to store voice-commands through the headset without repeating the steps described earlier each and every time u enter the voice-command-menu.....?

Hints, help and comments are welcome....

HC

I did it again... I could here the caller's name in the HBH-20 after I had recently been in the voice-command menu through the headset...

But just once, like the last time..

Weird!!!!

It ain't really supposed to be working... But I'm still trying, though - cause as I said, it is theoretical POSSIBLE!

YES its permanent... (although it sometimes feels like only playing the last half of the voicetag :/ ) ... dont ask me how tho... it didnt start out this way...i have a suspicion it has something to do with that i started out by using the (former) car profile... it even works after turning off the phone and the headset and turning them back on ) SE really got to work on the update... im VERY satisfied...
