Hi, i have just got my P800 and I am having real problems trying to connect it to my PC to transfer files to it via the Sync Station. I have installed the latest version of the sync station software and I have also installed DCU-11, but to no avail.

Is there something i am doing wrong?

when u start up ur comp with the dock + phone plugged in ul get a "searching for drivers" thing. if the pc suite cd is in the d: drive then just select d: as the location of the driver

Do you have the right COM port enabled?

Check the 'Properties' of 'My Computer'. On the 'Device Manager' tab, expand 'Ports'. You should see what COM port your cable is connected to. If it is not there, you have to install it again.

On your 'Control Panel', you should see 'Phone Monitor Options' (if MPM was installed correctly). Enable the correct COM port and disable the rest.

Your Win98SE should be able to sync with your phone by this time. If it still won't work, please post more details on what you have done, so that we'll know what is still needed to be installed/configured

Unistall any Personal Firewall s/w and then after uninstalling PC Suitre re-install it (remember not have the SyncStation plugged until after installation and reboot). Ensure you are using a USB on the computer not on a hub. Also try to disable virus checker. Try different USB ports.

I tried what you said jack, but it still doesnt work. I have the syncstation v 2.1.1 installed and have tried an uninstall + reinstall. But nothing has worked.

Any more ideas? I know my USB works because i have a USB scanner and digital camera and they both work fine so it cannot be that.

Please Help me, I have been waiting for this present for a while and I really want to get it working with my PC

Jah is correct. Firewalls and antivirus will stop the cradle from connecting with the phone unless they are disabled during the install. Then when they are enabled again you will get warnings of attacks on firewall, etc but do not restrict these warnings. To be sure that it is not a real attack disconnect from the internet while doing this.

Disabling the firewall may not work, you need to uninstall it. If it is Zone Alarm you have to uninstall it first before you install PC Suite.
