> T610 - Error with SMS on simcard

Hello people.
Hope someone can find a solution for this problem of mine.
My girlfriend just got a T610 for christmas from her parents (vodafone-branded! *grrr* gonna try to fix it for her) But we have one really tricky problem here. Before she changed phones, she moved all the sms she had laying on her old phone, and moved them over to the simcard. Then she put in the sim into the T610 and booted it up. It began the normal procedure; loading phonebook etc.. Then she went to the sms inbox and it was empty! - she can't even select "SMS Archive" (which is supposed to have sms from the simcard).
Is there some problem between the t610-sms standard or something? .. whats wrong with it? The old phone was a R600 SE.

When i put the sms into the sim and inserted it in the t610 i had no trouble. Now i need some info:did u try to put back the sim into the r600? R the sms still there? If they r,insert the sim into ur phone for example to determine if it is the sims fault or the t610s fault. Cros-examin i say;-)

anymore ideas? .. i don't want to waste 1-3 weeks with her phone @ a SE-store doing something that i could have done at home

Why don't you try checking with your network/service provider? It might be your SIM card. Is your girlfriend's SIM an old kind? You might need to change it to a newer version.

theres never been any problems with the sim before.. dunno if its a new one or old one (its the small kind. heh.)
gonna try to switch around with it some more tonight.. for example trying to open the sms on my phone (T300) to check if its a problem between old SE phones (the old one was a R600) or it might just be something funny with her new phone.
also checked to see if it was a major SMS-error on the t610, but she could receive sms as usally. ahwell. anyone with more ideas?

I have the same problem. Whatever sim card I insert in my t610 the phone doesn't read the sim's sms msgs. I've tried many ways but it seems it's firmware error.

If hazard has operator personalised menus too,this might b the problem. U should just check it with the shop or send ur sms' onto mail and go on with ur life;-)

Yes I have personalised operator menu. But when I bought the t610 I had the msgs in SMS-Archive. Then after 1 week they werent there but they were still on simcard
