Ok - I have a home server running Andromedia.php MP3 script that lists all my mp3's that are stored on the server.
Know I can see the mp3 listed via opera - except when I select a track ans go play - it opens a viewer but cannot seem to get the tarck to play - can I get the inbuilt music player play them or is there another music player that will play them on my P900??

convert em to mp4-they will work in video player (sound but no pic)

Convert it to mp4 sounds nice but you'll need an streaming server unless you want it fully download first...
