Hi i've been registered for quite a while but had probs getting here, using my *ducks* n3650. So i'm actually pretty new lol. I've read a lot ere & elsewhere about the p800 & wondered if ppl could give me a few pointers.1) how much 2nd-hand in uk wud u think is reasonable? 2) i know it doesn't use the usual s60 o/s but is there a decent amount of freeware/free apps or wot? Every nokia app wants £10 or more - even shitty home-made 2D games! I've (wap) googled it but find mainly an over-abundance of nokia rubbish. I want a proper multi-media phone! Which works! Thanx 4 any replies peeps.

Look at eBay. You will see that 2nd hand P800s sell from between UKP180 to UKP250 (depending on condition). Prices seem to holding-up well.

Hey, my 1st replies *proud*...! Well, thanx for the replies. Re: 21 day trials, i've had loads of s60 prog which either last a few days or even ask u to PAY for the TRIAL! (the latter being the 2 Player Gomuku listed on MySymbian, tho this isn't mentioned in the summary for it. They wanted to charge before letting me so much as run it) So, roughly 150-250ukp then... I was hoping wot wi th P900 comin out now that the 800 wud be closer to th 100-150 at worst, 2nd-hand

ah well i can wait a bit longer

thanx for yr help people. ps could someone explain how i can do a "return" or "paragraph break"? I'm pressing the usual button here, honest...! But it jus continues merrily on the same line, grrr lol. I bet it's somethin really simple i'll never think of on my own. - Cosmic

The reasons the P800 prices are not falling as quickly as you would expect I think are because:
1. SE stopped production of the P800s a few months before launch of the P900, therefore no overstocking and thus no deep discounts on remining new P800s
2. There are many markets where the P900 has not been launched therefore P800s are still being traded
3. I sold my P800 very quickly - I think this is because people believe that the P900 is not really a significant upgrade and that the P800 is still a leading edge product (I think the technology is similar but the P900 is more usable)

Ah. Ok. Sounds about right actually. Buggers it up for me tho, tut. Never mind, Sendo are releasing a new phone soon...! (i.e. One I'll be able to afford)

it's ok, in terms of urgency i suppose i need to sort my pc out 1st anyway. It's just that wi the 3650 there's so much potential there, & wot i heard of the p800 sounds like they've cracked it maybe. Cheers for replies - Cosmic
