I know that everybody here at esato is interested in mobile phones and hi-tech in general. But I was thinking, caan they read too?

So I thought that I should open a new thread dedicated to discussions on books and authors. Two very good authors are John Case and Michael Chrichton (the man who wrote jurassic park). At the moment I'm reading "Prey" by Chrichton. A very good book.
Anyone else care to tip about books? Feel free to do so but try to avoid writing the ends of them or in any other way spoiling the reading.

@universal soldier, I mean export. Is the good author you were talking about is "Michael Crichton", maybe you just mispelled his surname to 'Chrigton". Well anyway, my fave is that of Tom Clancy, since I am into watching 'espionage cum military' movies a lot - I was able to read his novels 'in advance' before they were made into films. Such hits were: Op Center, The Hunt for Red October, Sum of All Fears and Patriot Games. Many of his avid readers are also doubting that he 'was' a former CIA agent, for having known almost all of it's top US military secrets that only an insider would know. There are 'literally' hundreds of good authors out there who's talents are yet to be discovered . . .

That's better? I corrected the name now. I'm not that much for military books but what I really like is biological like viruses and stuff like that. Another great book by John Case (it's actually a psedonym for a married couple) is "The First Horseman" wich is about a virus.
"prey" by Crichton is as I said just as good and this is what it says on the back:
Quote:In the nevada desert, an experiment has gone horribly wrong. A cloud of nanoparticles - micro-robots - has escaped from the laboratory. The cloud is self-sustaining and self-repoducing. It is intelligent and learns from experience. For all practical purposes, it is alive.
It has been programmed as a predator. It is evolving swiftly, becoming more deadly with each passing hour.
Every attempt to destroy it has failed.
And we are the prey.
Thrilling, isn't it.

Hi people! I like reading! That's cool! But I mostly read russian authors - Lermontov - classical writer of the 18th century, Ilf & Petrov - writers of the ussr standing time, good humor, heh! From modern authors i read Tolkien of course, Ray Bradbury (correct me, if i wrote his name incorrect), other fantasts, and i like poetry of Robert Burns - i might write his name incorrect, because i've never seen it in english. Reading is cool!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
