Had my P900 for 3 weeks now and m finding my battery runs itself down in standby in about 3-4 hours.

I take it the battery is knackered already ? Anybody else had this with theirs ?

Do you stay in a place where the signal is questionable/minimal? Is your always on? Have you checked if you have an app running in the background?

It would help if you provide us more in your post.

P900 battery life should INCREASE after every charge.(for at least the first 6 months)
If your battery is reducing after every full charge, it could be a faulty battery.

My battery still had 95% charge after 10 hours of minimal use yesterday. Remember the following:

1. You need a full charge (14 hrs+) and discharge at least 3 times in the initial period of ownership (SE recommend 10 cycles of full charge / discharge)
2. Do not have GPRS attached all the time (set to GSM mode, so only use GPRS when you need to)
3. Only have BT on when you need it
4. Use Sman or similar to limit the number of background apps

Hi,

Quick question... how do you unattach the GPRS? I know how to do it with my t610, but cant figure it out with this new symbian OS.

Thanks

How do I stop background applications ?

I let it fully charge overnight and then it had lost all power within 3 hours.

This morning I charged it for 1.5hrs and it has been running all day since barely losing any charge ?

Since I have had it I have not let it fully discharge after the first full charge. I place it in the cradle usually which naturally tops it up automatically. Could this be the memory effect on the battery or worse could it be the phone itself ?

Went to the O2 shop today and they said as it's under 28 days old they can replace the battery or the complete phone package itself, my choice. But alas they currently had none in stock !
