Hello, I'm new here so i apologise if a similar topic was alredy discussed here.
Annyway, i bought my p800 about a week ago, and recently i noticed that the power drain has been very high (more than 10% an hour). Yesterday i charged the phone just before going to bed, and in the morning the batteries were dead. I used Sman to flush all of the apps (only "flipkeypad", "applications" "beamer" and "appicker" keep working) but the situation didn't improve.
I've got a 64 mb Magic Gate memory card filled with music and the internal memory filled with apps (about 1,5 Mb free).
So, if annyone has anny sugestions PLEASE help!

Here are some suggestions that my help:

1. Keep BT off unless you need it
2. Set to GSM mode and not to GPRS attached all the time
3. Don't use a screen saver
4. Try not to use Tracker, if you are using this, and see if things improve
5. Set Sman to flush when the flip is closed (if you use a flip, not sure what happens if you use a virtual flip however)

Now there some non UIQ apps that are loaded into RAM when you start the phone. Can you say how much RAM you have free after reboot.

I would suggest you do as Jah says. However I would start with uninstalling Tracker. This happend to me too and Tracker was the problem.

If you find this problem, I would strongly recommend that you mail symbian at

support@symbianware.com

and point out your error. I have done this and they do not seam to be aware of the problems reoccurance.

Thanks for the advice, ill try it and report the results.
As for the memory, when i reboot i have 5568Kb with the folowing apps:flipkeypad, Sman, Applicationc, BuugME!, beamer, contacts, messages and apppicker.
After the flush i have 8180kb with flipkey, Sman, apps, beamer and apppicker.
For the flipclosed flush, must the Sman be running to work?

To be honnest with you mate. I dont understand your question. Given that you are a member with a lot of post I dont want to be disrespectfull, but GSM is the system you phone on and GPRS is the systems "internet". I dont think you should choose one or the other.

If you you dont want to have your GPRS on, turn it of or uninstall the internet connections (If you have a Vodafone Live or simular this could be diffcult, since I dont, I dont know).

I wonder if this answerd your question?

Control Panel/Internet Account/Other Tab select 'GSM Preferred' to stop GPRS being attached all the time
