Hi,

I've set my P900 up so I can use my PCs broadband through bluetooth. An excellent facility.

I want to be able to use it around the house but the range of BT is poor so sometimes I will lose the connection as I move around.

I only seem to be able to make the connection from the PC to the phone as far as I can tell there is no way to make the phone connect to the PC.

Is it possible? It's silly having to go downstairs to initiate the link everytime I lose it.

Thanks
Marc

Yes you can, it's easy. Just have a search on here if you have problems.

Essentially all you need to do is install the PC Suite, then when it is on the cradle it should use your broadband by default rather than GPRS. Note I've only messed for an hour and so far I can't get it to do this with the default browser, however it worked first time with Opera (on the second CD and much better than the inbuilt browser).

If you want to do this through bluetooth just install you bluetooth software browse for thr P900 and start the serial port.

Cheers

The connection has to be initiated from the PC, which is rather silly considering that one is closed right away and a new one opened from the phone (which is then used for the mroute connection etc).

The solution I use is this one:
http://www.ephebe.f2s.com/ProximityConnector.htm

A bit clumsy, but works... it monitors the logs of the widcomm spylite monitor for any sign of your phone in range, then opens the bt serial port when its found. Still, feels like there ought to be some way to open the port directly from the phone somehow...
