Whilst I'm at my desk, I like to have the P900 sitting in its SyncStation. But I leave the Travel Charger unplugged unless I'm actually trying to charge the phone. I do this to avoid the battery memory effect that I've suffered with on other phones.

Do I need to do this? Or is the Travel Charger (and/or SyncStation) smart enough only to charge the battery when it 'knows' its getting low?

Only nimh and nicad batts had mem effect, that tech is old, but on some way more stable as li-pol as i see. I prefer li-ion if its possible. This message was posted from a T630

Yes! As you can make a 're-charge' even if the battery is not yet fully drained with the Lithium Ions, unlike with those of the Nickel Metal Hydrites and Nickel Cadiums wherein you have to drain it first before making a charge!
