> help! pda sending contacts to my t39
Bookmark topic
i tried to send contacts/address book from my handspring visor to my t39 via IR .... i had set the "Mobile" numbers as my primary contact on my pda...
t39 gets all of them but the details are kinda mixed up...when i view the numbers on my t39, some, not all, of my contacts dispaly their home numbers and the mobile numbers aren't even there.
help!!! also, when i try to connect my palm to the internet via IR t39, after connecting, my pda seems to think its connected while my t39 says "gprs parameters not supported". im in the philippines and a globe subscriber....

Robert, I have to contradict you on this.
The Pinoy Chit-chat forum is meant for local issues only. I know that Kendi is pinay, but the problem may be being experienced by other users too.
Kendi, I suggest you keep this thread.

Hi Kendi,
well, I had similar problems with T68 and Palm m505 IRda sync (it is more a push than a sync!). I do not have for all contacts the same primary contact but it is the same result. Some of the contacts appearing now on T68 do e.g. show the mobile number as private and no other info is displayed, however most of them are ok and shown on T68 as mentioned on Palm. By sending a faulty special contact single again it is ok. Information from hotline ericsson: as there is no special software provided and it is not specially designed for such syncs, this problem will not be supported...!!
The other thing with your GPRS connection is solved by software. (Well, I am in Germany and my provider is T-Mobile, probably your provider uses the same special connecting technics, as I got the same error message as you!!) My provider doesn't support header comprimizing (hopefully these are understandable words for you?!) by sending data through GPRS. You can manually uncheck this feature in the palm but as the software is buggy, the feature will be checked automatically as soon as a connection is initiated.
Solution: go to a palm software download site (download.com maybe as well) and look for "pppset". this tool manage this problem and enables you to surf by gprs and your txx mobile.
note: i only made my configuration - which worked!! - with t68 and palm m505. i expect a positive workaround with your equipment but cannot guarantee for it.
try it, have fun
