Orange Customers - your bill may be wrong!

On my bill this month I noticed several calls to Orange numbers listed incorrectly as "Other Mobile Network"; one call that should have been free cost me £5! I called OCS and apparently between the 17th and 25th (IIRC) November there was a problem identifying the origin of numbers with 07791 or 2 prefixes, which resulted in some Orange numbers being listed as belonging to "other networks". Acccording to the OCS guy I spoke to it only affected 1/50th of customers (lucky me!) and was due to lightning/vandalism of the main and backup number databases (how do you vandalise a database; spray the hard drive??). It's worth checking your bill because O will refund the cost of any incorrectly listed numbers, regardless of whether the calls were part of your free minutes or not. Natrually, being O, they are incapable of searching for any affected numbers/bills, so you have to list the phone numbers that are wrong and then call OCS and tell them

Hope that made sense - it's been a long day Basically, have a look at your bill, and if any calls you made to an Orange phone are listed as "Other mobile network", note the number and tell O to get a refund on the cost of the call.

Hey mark, thanks for the post!

I work for orange and there was a problem with some customers bills last month. As you say, its just a matter of noting the numbers then contacting CS.

If anybody needs to contact Orange Customer Services they can do so on:

07973 100 150
