Just before i ask this question i would like to say that i have searched the forums and have looked through the terribly written orange manual that came with my P900!

I basically would like to know how, if it is possible, to put different contacts into groups, for example, work colleagues so that i can send a text to a specific group of people.

Is this possible???

Thanks in advance and sorry if i have missed a similar thread that would solve this problem...i did try

I'm currently having a nightmare on this myself.

Outlook and the Sync software seems totally incompatible (so far) when it comes to contact groups.

The crazy thing is, both Outlook AND the P900 alow you to create names folders in your contacts list and obviously many people would want to organise their data this way.

I don't want a stupid great long list with brickmakers & plumbers in the same list/area and my aunties uncles and girlfriends.

So I create a shops folder and a family folder on both the P900 and outlook. Making sure they are the same name.......

You think I can get the sync software to sort this out... Not a chance.

Someone said they have it working, but so far for me, I cna't get it.

I create a new folder name in outlook it does not appear in the P900. If I create a new folder name on the P900 it does not appear on outlook... What kind of sync compatibility is this suposed to be ?

The only way I've got all my contacts over is in one bloody stupid massive great long list, which is very ugly, and the P900 then regards them as unfiled !!!!!!!! Yeah, I know they are ^&%%^ unfiled, cos if I file them you won't sync them... Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers for the link to the manual.
I actually got the 02 manual which I believe is the full mcoy, but downloaded that one as well.

Thanks scot if you get any joy.

Although I didn't want to do it this way. I tried tonight to do it the long way (Syncing with folders)

I selected just 1 folder from outlook and syncd it to the p900. It of course went into the unfiled folder (ho hum) I then used contact manager to move the contacts into the same named folder I have created earlier on my p900 to match outlook.

Moved the files over, then syncd another lot over from outlook thinking I'd move this second lot over and carry on till I'd manually done all the folders. and guess what.

When I syncd over the second lot from my outlook folder into the unfiled folder on the p900. The p900 actually deleted the 1st lot I'd just put in the first named folder..... arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Poss I had some sync settings wrong, but it's getting annoying.
