hello all Great members out here ...
i have a problem, i don't know if it's mentioned before but i couldn't get any search results ... anyway my problem is i had my p800 for about 5 months, then the touch screen stopped working SUDDENLY and didn't respond anymore !!! i visited my Sony Ericsson center, though it's not offecial, and they say they have to replace the whole SCREEN !!!!! I have some pictures from the web showing that the screen is attached to the main board and the touch panel is stand-alone piece, with some yellow thin cable, the question is why they have to replace the WHOLE SCREEN, for about 200 $ and i'm pretty sure that the screen is not harmed or damaged because it's showing well ! what should i do !??
my phone is not garanteed !! and they say it's the only way to make it work again !
i'm sure that the touch panel is replacement is much much less than the whole screen ... and as far as i think they would like to ripp me off - you have a p800, you can afford it then !
by the way when i asked them if it's a factory deffect they said YES !
And i know that SonyEricsson Global warranty should cover that !>?>
