Hello all,
I am a head journalist for the BBC and a while back I got a page from one of our chairmen and he wanted me to write a case about ‘bluetooth’ and he was ‘blue jacked’ by his grandson at a family dinner.
He brought his grandson over to my office and after a long, painstaking day, I finally got to grips with bluetooth. After, I set off to write an article about bluejacking. Mark, the grandson, recommended me this website to look on in reference. It was then that I found out about such sites such as bluejackQ. I have written articles on the p800 and p900 and mainly Sony Ericsson as a company. I am doing a new report, and I was wondering if I could have your feed back on SE as a company, and their products. This is what I will form my article on. Please if you have anything to say, PM me, and I will give you my email and phone numbers so we can talk.
Thank you very much,
Joseph

Hi, Joseph,it may be an idea to check with the Moderators that you can use this site in this way, as you may need to prove that you are not a commercial enterprise in disguise.
Maybe you should PM @Masseur.
The fact that this forum exists & is so busy will give anyone a clue to the importance of SE as a company providing products that are at the forefront of technology, by using SE phones we are all enjoying the most advanced experience, one example of this is, a couple of clicks of the mouse on my laptop & my P900 became a digital musical insrumennt tuner... just one example of usefull applicationns available online.

Hi There Joseph,
For me the real magic of SE phones is in the fact that they almost always have that something 'special' about them.
I've been using Ericsson phones for many years now, starting with the trusty Ericsson GH688 - a phone built with proper Swedish ideals, it was robust (it had a metal shell) high tech, and at the time was one of the smallest and slimmest phones on the market.
I've since owned numerous Ericsson / SE phones (see my sig!) including at P800 and a P900 and with the exception of just one phone (The truly awful T10) I've loved every one of them with a passion.
To me, owning an Ericsson and not something like a Nokia is like driving a prestige marque as opposed to a family saloon. Some people are just 'Ericsson People' - connoiseurs of the mobile world, whilst some people are just happy with the latest thing Nokia bring out - ask any NGage owner if they are completely happy with their phone to see what I mean, I'm yet to meet one who is.
Quite how they keep turning out good phones one after the other is a mystery to me!

The word "nokia" is, in the opinion of most true SonyEricsson devotees, synonymous with the mediochre, lowbrow public; those happy to embrace whatever is forced upon them by the less than appropriately informed mobile phone salesman as the latest technology. SonyEricsson, and previously, Ericsson handsets have always been appreciated by those of us who had a penchant for a device which was a bit more classy and unique, something that wasn't in the pocket of every man and his dog on the high street, something with an sms alert a bit less annoying than the unmistakable "bee beep" "bee beep" too often heard in pubs, airports and bus stops across the country.
Its probably fair to say that to an appreciative few, SonyEricsson devices are more of a passion than just a phone. Esato has some very faithful long time members who clearly have more love and knowledge of these devices than can be found in any mobile phone shop. Its the uniqueness, sophistication, and virtual rarity of SE handsets which produce such a following. When owned and used for any length of time, an almost emotional attatchment grows between man and phone, which only a true SE fan could experience and explain.
SonyEricsson phones are there to be appreciated.
I wrote all that on my p900 so do me a favour and at least quote a little bit yea?

I'm not quite as devoted as the rest here I guess... This is the story of my mobile phone life:
* My first mobile was a nokia 1011 - wow, that was a big phone.
* Then I bought a Sharp license-manufactured Ericsson 337.
* Then I had a Nokia (I think, can't remember which model).
* My next phone was a Nokia 7110 - bought largely cause it was the first one with WAP. Dropped that one in a puddle and got a new identical one

. That one got stolen later on.
* Got a Nokia 6210. Lost it in a taxi after a party :-/. Got a new identical one.
* June -03 I got a SE T610.
I've always chosen what seems like the right model. Historically, Ericsson has always been really good at features and Nokia has always been really good at design and usability. During several years it looked like Nokia would really move Ericsson out of business. Even here in Sweden, home of Ericsson, Nokia really dominated the market.
Lately though, after the forming of SonyEricsson and releases such as P800/P900 and the T610 SE is ahead of Nokia. The collaboration with Sony seems to have given Ericsson the pieces they lacked before. They have a lot to prove in market shares, but in my mind the T610 is a real Nokia killer, where SE for the first time has combined features, design and usability, and in Stockholm you see it absolutely
everywhere.

Joseph,
Are you sure you're a "Head journalist at the BBC" ?
And did "One of your Chairmen" really ask for this ? There is only one Chairman of the BBC and one Director General.
Finally if people with your appreciation of sentence construction and general grammar are able to attain the level of "Head Journalist" then it's no wonder the UK public frequently complain about how much the BBC licence fee costs !
Why not just tell us why you really want this info ?
