Is there a way to transfer a DVD movie or a movie downloaded from web onto memory card to watch on P900? Thanks in advance! This message was posted from a Nokia

dvd -> p900
you first need a ripper program that rips the dvd movie onto your harddrive. then you encode it as mp4
but i can't tell you which program is best, but i've stumbled upon "muvee" and "DaVideo" which seem to work pretty well for pda users.

Do those programs both rip and encode? This message was posted from a Nokia

DaVideo comes in a bunch of different flavors.
there is "DaVideo Pro" which does everything, and is most expensive. Then there's "DaVideo PDA" that can rip and encode for pdas. it's cheaper, but it won't be any good if you want to rip one commercial DVD (8 or 9 gigs) onto a DVD-ROM (4.7Gb). For this you need Pro or Go.

Muvee, i have no idea what it does. but i think it's actually more of a video editing tool. Try a google Search for DVD Rip. Most of the programs you find have options to play with where you can set the movie size etc.
There's also a thread called "Bengalboy's Bible ..." something where he tells you how he gets a whole DVD movie onto a 128Mb Memory Stick.
