I am a big SE fan and have the T610...
Now I'm having this dilemma... should I sell it and buy the samsung e700?
Except bluetooth and IR compatibility and contact pictures, I can't seem to find anything better on the T610!!!
E700 has better screen, camera, memory, file management, java, more contacts etc. But it's not a SE!!!!!!!! And I use bluetooth now and then...
What to do? Give me your reasons to keep the good old T610...
(I used the search, but did not find a good-enough compare...)

Agreed, apart from IR & BT, no other worse bit in it when compared to other current phones.

E 700 is not triband so if you are going to the United States, you will not be able to use your phone. Much more downloads for sony ericsson especially from esato.

for me the e700 would be crap, because i need to connect it to my pc my laptop, my pocket pc, and for that i need bluetooth which the e700 hasn't got...
BUT if you don't need bt and you don't missing some other litlle things that e700 lacks then i would go for it, because i think it's great, excellent design (i think the design is like the z600 should have been)
BUT on the other hand i wouldn't buy it just now if you already have the t610, why?, because cebit is around the corner and i wouldn't be suprised if se, siemens, nokia, samsung .... would give out far better products than this.....

But you should definately try it out before you decide to buy the Samsung E700. Every Samsung I've tried so far has a crappy user interface and the phone software is very limited and nowhere as flexible as the SE software.
Sure the Samsung has nice screens and nice sound, but that where it all ends IMHO.
Another really annoying thing with Samsungs are the palcement of the "i"-key (the wap/internet key), which is place in the center of the navigation pad... where you would expect a "select" button.
AFAIK the E700 doesn't have a bulit-in email-client, so if you use that then it's not a phone for you.
