I need somewhere to host my themes(linked to my tagtag site),similar to wap41. I was paying them less than £3.00 a month so you know my price With wap41 now gone i suppose there is a few ppl out there looking for something similar. So has anyone got any ideas? There must be an alternative :-l

Join 250free.com, i pay around $4 (£2.26) a month, for 250mb of space and 2gb of bandwidth. And you can upload .htaccess file as well, to enable the server for the correct mime types, alternativly you can use there free service if all you want is a host for themes not a web site, this gives youu 250mb of space but only around 250mb of bandwidth, and you can still set up the mime types on the server.

Try out there free server for a while then if you need more bandwidth you can upgrade when ever you want. I tried a few different host when setting up my site, and these were the best i can find. With the platum account (£2.26/month) They will also host upto 10 domain names for free.

On there FAQ it says,

250Free does not support CGI, Perl, PHP and Frontpage Extensions

But can't find anything about asp

It also says look at are sister site which is http://www.250host.com this is more expensive at 5.95 but allows perl, php etc, only 100mb of storage but you get 3gb of bandwidth.

Well i really need something simple and easy like my boyi.8k.com website which is supplied by freeservers.com

Edit tags are used instead of knowing about coding but i could do with somewhere to upload my themes and link them to my tagtag wapsite,anyone know of such a place thats similar to wap41?

You can use 250free.com to host your themes then use tagtag.com to link to them, ie on tagtag ur link will be boyi.250free.com/car.thm . The only problem is that they say you can't use your website just for holding files, but as long as you load some simple html files into ur account they won't know the difference. However if you pay the (2.26) a month you can use your 250mb space for whatever you want.

I can't see any reason why this won't work, and to test it you could add this link buckle247.250free.com/cricket.thm to ur tagtag site, to see if it dl's ok.

But in your 250free account you will need to change the mime settings, b4 you can download themes to your phone, but if you want a hand with it, just pm me.
