Bookmark topic
Hello all,
As you can probably tell from my user id im a new user of the z600. Top little phone. One problem though.....
Sometimes depending on the tune ive set i cant even hear the bloody thing under normal circumstances !
Is this normal? Can the noise level be increased? Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?
Oh, i forgot to say that the profile has been set to outdoors and the ring level to maximum.
Any info would be most appreciated !

It seems that there is only one tone that is noticably louder then the rest and thats the one im currently using. Its called Digirain. The other ringtones are pretty good apart from the loudness, they are simply too low.
I guess im trying to ascertain if other z600 users are experiencing the same thing or if my unit is defective.
I've only had it for a week and want to make sure i have a good unit before the 30 days no questions asked exchange period expires.
I've already done a search on the forum and it seems that polyphonic tones are good to have if you have a loud one. Do i assume that the z600 falls into the same category?

you could try requesting a loud polyphonic ringtone
here or try finding one

aside from the obvious that the perception of 'loud' is rather different for everybody, and assuming you have your ringtone volume set to max.... I suppose you could try and make it louder in a midi editor, or simply search for another midi that is loud enough.

else put it closer to your ear, either one will do.

I use Nokias "Do-mi-so" (Have it on my website)
It sounds like crap, but it has a good frequency range, for me at least..
I find songs/tunes generally unusable as ringtones in noisy environments.
Tip: If you are using a midi editor, replace the "helicopter sound" which seems like some Nokia special with some other instrument or set volume of that track to zero! The problem seems to be that SE and Samsung have synth chips that are too good

I have a bagpipe tune in both my S55 and t610 and it actually sounds better=more like real bagpipes in the Siemens phone. In my t610 it is too clear sounding and does not sound very realistic
