I think this new scheme from Globe will benefit all subscribers.
Globe confirmed that our MSF is consumable on all Globe services; that includes local calls, NDD, IDD, local mms, intl mms, GPRS for Internet access and streaming, local and intl text messaging, etc...
We hope Globe will open wapsites....

haha.. i thought you'll make that switch to smart? anyways. globe has just realized that Sun cellular's entrance to the market is a threat if they won't improve their services. Sun, offered consumable plans, smart followed by putting up addict mobile and now globe is on the track. (btw, i know that 'isla' first offered consumable plans.)

Converting your old G-Plan to a G-Flex will cost you the same MSF. For example, if you are currently using Globe's G-Mix Plan (Php800/month), you can convert it to a similar costing G-Flex Plan. You don't have to upgrade to a higher (more expensive) plan.
Call the Globe hotline to get the exact details and to convert your existing line to a G-Flex. If you are not satisfied, they will let you go back to your old plan.

the problem i think with the g-flex plans is that they do not have any free minutes. so if you had a P1200 MSF for example, which normally comes with 210 free minutes, if you used up 200 minutes @ P6.50/min, that would already come out to P1,300!
not very well thought out i think...

Here are some of the details.
1) Globe G-Flex Plan is totally new different plan, which means you have to subscribe or upgrade to this plan to avail of the services. On the other hand, existing G-plan subscribers can avail only of the flat rate but not fully consumable.
2) For G-Flex plans, Globe bundled only free texts.
3) For G-Flex plans, minimum MSF is 800.00 (G-Flex 800)
4) Rates are inclusive of VAT and Currency Exchange Rate Adjustment (CERA)
5) Consummable amount covers voice calls (local, NDD, IDD), text (local, International Text) and VAS.
6) Free text allocation applies to local text messages (Globe to Globe & Globe to other networks)
Check Globe's site for complete info
http://www1.globe.com.ph/whatsnew.aspx?SectionID=105
Or Call CSR
If you are a heavy call or text user, I think you better stick to the old G-Plan;
But if you are a heavy user on VAS other than voice and text, switch to the G-Flex plan

actually, since 'isla' is owned by globe, that would make globe the first to offer consumable plans. they abandoned the 'isla' plans on sept 2002. but when Sun resurrected the idea of 'consumable' plans six months later (mar 2003), and Smart followed with Addict Mobile), Globe had to improve the idea and offer it again... now, its FULLY consumable, although it now starts at Php800/month.
before, globe's 'isla' plans were consumable for voice calls (just like Sun), and MSF went as low as Php180/month. Damn! I miss those days...
