Hi,
My T68i was working fine until 2 days ago, when the power switch no longer functions... I managed to switch the phone off, but I cant switch it back on again! There is nothing wrong with the rest of the phone as it will charge and the alarm goes off every morning without fail. It is out of warranty, so does any one have any idea how much this will cost to fix in the UK?

when connected with the charger... press the sequence for the service menu (right * left left * left *) under Service test you can test the keypad. Does it respond on some/all buttons except the NO-button? Then it's a faulty keydome (plastic contact film between the keypad and the circuitboard), usually, this isn't very expensive to fix at a

Seems like the button is dead, if i press any other button when it is in charging only mode is clicks and turns the backlight on. The "No" or power button doesnt do this

you can open the phone, clean the PCB under the keydome, and it will work again, but it will most likely fail again in the future. And there is always a risk by opening the phone by yourself if you don't know what your doing.
