Well, I accidently dropped my brand new P900 in water It's a long story. It was only for a second, but it don't work anymore.
I'm getting a constant led light at the LED that usually flashes in green. The screen won't come on. Just the red light. Is there any hope?

You might need some balls to do this but...
Take it apart. SE will NOT repair a water damaged handset so dont worry about voiding your warranty; its void already.
Take it to pieces and dry off the excess water. The components are all sealed so there may not be any damage. Its not working because water contains salts which conduct electricity so basically all the chips are shorted out. Give the inside surfaces and the pcb and integrated circuit terminals a good dab with a tissue. Then get a hair drier on it and give it a respectable blow dry. If you do this, id say 80% chance of it working again. I fell in a river, head to toe, with a p800 in my pocket. A bit of first aid and it still works fine to this day. DO IT NOW!!!

I already tried the blowdryer. This happened a week ago and I was hoping it would start working again after a few days when everything drys by itself. Well, I'm ready to open it, but how? The only two screws that I can see are on the back bottom and I believe they are only to remove the dial pad?

Oh. see the water has evaporated and left a conductive layer of shit right across your pcb. id say its finished now. unless you reimmerse it and do what i said above. what you could do is dip the pcb in a solvent like meths or pure alcohol then dry it. seriously, what im talking about is for real you should try this stuff, what have you got to lose?
unless you want to sell me it? pm me if you do.

I have dropped my phone in water before, but it was a t68. It stopped working when it was still wet inside. I left it for about a week and when I tried it again it was ok. I suggest that you don't open it. Leave it for a while, and when you think that it is totally dry, try it again. If it still doesn't work take it back to the shop not mentioning that you dropped it in water. If you open it you will void the warrenty.

Water damage is not covered by warranty but the shop staff will be stupid they always are so yea try taking it back. Just be like "uh..... duh. huh? eh.....um yea like.....uhhh.....duhhhhh...ehhhh??" They will probably replace it.

when dropping a phone in the water it's a lottery.... it can work for ages after, or it can die right at the spot... much depends on which circuits that are affected by the liquid... sometimes you don't even have to clean it, cause it works just fine anyway. Many of the circuits in a phone is of BGA type, meaning liquid easily can get between the circuit and the PCB causing damage underneath the circuit, these are almost impossible to get rid of, a bath in clean alcohol might work, if you are lucky.
