Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble synchinig my P900 with my Sony Vaio Laptop (Z1MP, XP Pro) via bluetooth. I'm able to establish a serial bluetooth connection within Sony's Bluespace NE software (3.2), but PC Suite (2.1.1.) does not recognise the phone as being connected. Despite enabling Com4 in Phone Monitor, ticking the box "COM4 via bluetooth" in PC Suite Properties. I can send files, use it as a modem, etc., but can't sync because PC Suite won't recognise the connection. It works fine via the USB cradle.
Any ideas would be highly appreciated

how did you turn on the COM4 for use with the PC sync software?
Did you do it through control panel, or by right clicking the communication icon in the tray bar?

I clicked on the PC Suite Icon, then ticked "COM4 Bluetooth". Also went through Control Panel into Phone Monitor and clicked "enable COM4". In device manager, Bluespace gives you a "virtual COM port" which has no way of switching on or off. Anything else I missed?
Thanks
GUYS, just figured it out by reading a post a few lines down: Although bluetooth is on COM4 and there are no conflicts with other COM ports, as soon as I disable my modem (COM3), PC Suite picks up the bluetooth connection. Have no idea why, as I always thought a PC has 4 "real" COM ports. So I just need to have my modem disabled, but then it works
