> Anyone experienced UNrecoverable software hang?
Bookmark topic
Hi all... new member+poster, old reader...
Just wanted to share the problem with the crowd, see if anybody else had experienced smth similar.
My ~3 month old T610, last flashed to R3C a while back, -completely- hung. I wasn't doing anything. I pulled it out of my pocked, started unlocking the keypad, and it switched off. Aaaaand wouldn't come back on again, no matter what. The stick's red light would come on if I had it recharging, but that was all.
Took it to be fixed, they said the software had hung, and they flashed it to R4C and is as good as new.
Has anybody else experienced such naaaasty software mojo? I was surprised that such a show-stopping failure was possible...
cheers
Alex

My T610 (R1C firmware) hung a couple of times, once during a java game (which didn't surprise me) and once when somebody called me (which was rather worrying!).
In both cases the phone wouldn't switch off, I had to remove and re-fit the battery to get it working again.
Not as colossal a crash as yours though!

Well, in the time I've had the phone, I've experienced several crashes. IMO I've stressed it quite a bit, functionality-wise, and all in all I would say it hasn't been exactly rock-steady...
I've had several hangs where removing the battery was the only way to revive it... Hangs out of nowhere, hangs during bluetooth usage... Youuuu name it, weeee've got it!
Funny thing, once I received a call as I was changing the theme. The ringtone playback was choppy as hell, and I couldn't answer the call no matter what...
One noteworthy problem was that, ~2 weeks before the phone died, twice in 2 days it showed me all of a sudden the battery was near-empty, even though I had only charged it a few hours ago, and both times the phone soon after died. I don't know though if that could be related to the later on software crash, or if it's a sign my battery's dying. I have been crushing it really, since most of the time I'm home the phone's BT-hooked to FMA on my PC, and that seems like a huge drain... Daily full recharge is the norm...
cheers
