Is there any way to transfer files, like mophun och java games from a computer to a SE T610 without using IR, Bluetoth or datacable???

Would it for example be possible to put the files on a webpage or ftp site and go there via wap or something? Or perhaps you can mail them somehow to the phone?

Easiest way is to use www.euploader.com

This is a website dedicated to transfering files from PC to Mobiles. You select the file from your hard drive and the site uploads it and gives you a code. You then go on WAP, enter the code, and the file downloads to your phone.

The easiest way to make an ftp site is to simply upload all of your files to a webserver (or folder on the server) WITHOUT having an 'index.html' file. When you visit the page, you will simply get a list of the downloadable files displayed rather than a web page. Free hosts such as geocities etc. may not allow you to do this, but most paid hosting packages do.

If you want to download files from your site to your phone via wap, you will need to do the following:

1. click here
2. save the text file as 'ht.txt'
3. using an ftp client, upload ht.txt to your web space
4. rename the file (on your server) to '.htaccess'

This file contains the MIME types required for your phone to download the files. If you don't do this, the phone will claim that the 'file is not supported'

Should have mentioned....

My 'easy ftp server' method isn't of course a true ftp server, but it allows easy direct access to files for everyone, which I assumed is what you were after

Hi,

I'm trying to get some files off my web space for my mobile 02 sendo m550.

I've followed the info above and thing i've it right, renamed the file as .htaccess.

Am i supposed to give the file a certain name or is this file created for the other type of phone?

Thanks
Spiritse
