No doubt I will get bashed for this for starting yet another thread on video cap. but all i wanted to know is if i shoot video on my p800 with the philips camcoder and then send it as an mms to a phone with mms capability but not video, how will the recipient be able to view it? and how will they know they have a video attached? Stupid questions but hey...im a new user and all of that.

Cheers

You can send it if the recipients phone supports the video format - like a motorola A925 or a P900 etc but I dont think you could send it to a T68 or similar phone

Thanks for the prompt response. I actually wanted to send a video to my gf's motorola c550 but i dont think it plays video...it only supports mms. i just thought mms might allow video playback. so i guess if i send her an mms with video atttached, would she indeed be able to play it? If not, would there be some kind of link where she could view it on the web? shes not very technical so hence why i ask

by the way, just got my first taste of bluejacking...i f******g love that idea...so much fun to be had now...mwahahahaha!

Nope C550 does not support video - what you could do is make up a mms from still pics and cut down the time on them to give a slideshow type effect and send her that but thats about it.

Bluejacking ROCKS i got two N-Gage's in the O2 shop about 2 weeks ago

What is Bluejacking???:)

@driveby

Some Telcoms have a feature where you can view the mms (video or still) even if your phone doesn't support mms.

If you send an MMS to a phone without support for any of the components (video, wav etc) it will save what it can and the phone will also get a message to go to a website to see the whole MMS
