> Bluetooth and Activesync with P900
Bookmark topic
I am using a Belkin B8T003 Bluetooth Adapter on a laptop with PC Suite V2.1.1 with a SE P900. I can activesync using the USB cradle but want to use Bluetooth. The manual gives a usable guide to setting up the PC Suite with USB but gives little coverage to Bluetooth. Is there a comprehensive guide somewhere that deals with settings and mRouters, COM ports, MPM etc? All these need to be set up I am sure, nothing is easy!
I can swap files, business cards etc between the laptop and the phone by BT but activesynch is a nono. Also does the P900 support the PIM Syncronisation profile as mine says it does not, even though I can set up all the Outlook settings for contacts, emails etc on the laptop?
Thanks
Doug

Try this link. It's for a TDK adapter, but surely you can interpret.

What no guide tells you: make sure you have free COM ports. I had to uninstall certain software that was using COM ports even though they were different to the COM4 that PC Suite required. Otherwise PC Suite just wont recognise the connection.
Good luck

Thanks you for that link. I used the instructions and managed, for the first time, to get a Bluetooth Activesync session going! I think before I had most of this set up, what I was not doing was to take the tick out of the box for the COM port for the USB link and just leaving the Bluetooth COM port enabled. It made the difference.
Suggest if anyone else is having the same problem they use this guide, it's excellent.
Thanks again
Doug
