> What level encoding do you use for OGG?
Bookmark topic
Which bitrate are you encoding your OGG files at?
128?
96?
64?
I don't want to compromise too much quality, but at the same time, knowing that there are limitations to the quality of sound that can be produced through the P900 headphones, what's a good bitrate to use for decent sound and filesize?
Some people have suggested that OGG files encoded above 96kbps don't sound much different on the P900, compared to OGG files encoded at 128 kbps.
How is 64?

I don't mean to sound like an ass, but why don't you just try for yourself?
The reason I'm saying that is everybody's hearing is different. We are all sensitive to different things. For example, when I bought a Sony MD everybody was saying how crap a certain compression level sounded (LP4 for those interested) but it sounded perfectly fine to me and so I used it.
In cases such as these, the best thing to do is to just try it out for yourself. Don't always trust what others have to say. Just encode the same song in all the different bitrates, transfer them to your P900 and listen to them all

Yeha sorry guys it was meant to read 64!!!

It seems the best combination...and extremely good when you play the tunes in hands free speaker mode through the phone.
