Hi, I've searched the forum and the SE website for these answers but have not been successful so I hope you don't mind me asking.

Does the HBM30 come with a rechargeable battery and if so, can you charge it using a standard SE charger?

Is there any way to get music onto the player itself other than direct from source recording - ie could I put stuff on the MS Duo and transfer to the player?

Does the player support 128MB MS Duo?

Thanks

The HBM-30 comes with no battery. You have to use a AAA battery, I recommend buying a rechargable battery. Therefore the player does not charge off the phone (I wish it did).

You can copy mp3 files straight onto a Duo Stick. As long as you have a reader. 128 MB should work.

You can only record onto Magic Gate sticks, which applies also to playing ATRAC3 files on a non-Magic Gate stick.

Hope that helps.

One more question... does the HBM-30 have any in-built memory or is it dependent ONLY on MSDuo ?

Nope, it depends on the Duo Stick.

I bought player from e-bay for £153. He is now selling it for £144.

Cheers for the replies. The UK site says it comes with a battery, that confused me, so I rang them and the retard operator kept asking me which phone I was using and what network I was on, which was immaterial so I don't trust their phone advice - although they said it did come with a battery.

For the person who asked about internal memory, it does have internal memory, but I haven't found out how much yet. This is the memory that the from source recording ATRAC3 records to.

I've searched for prices, and the cheapest in the uk I could find was http://l8shop.net/Products/Original-Sony-Ericsson-Bluetooth-Music-Handsfree-HBM-30-3134.asp?a at £165.84 from a legitimate online store that I have used before. Yes it's also on ebay cheaper, if you want to use ebay.

Anyone know if the player is compatible with MS Duo Pro?

Just got mine and it does have an AAA battery with it.

"AAA" included(non rechargeable)
no internal mem. on unit(64MB MGduo in box)
ATRAC from PC using MS drive(file must be called "MP3")
batt life good(20 hours play back)but dependant on calls you receive!
