I *HAD* a smartphone (Tanager) untill I switched to a p900 and one of the ONLY things I miss is that it had a fantastic dialing system.

You typed in a number OR name (based on ALL the letters on the pressed key) on the main screen and it would narrow down your address book to those entries that had those numbers/letters.
Works blazingly fast and is super intuitive. If you remember part of a number, area code, name etc just punch whatever you remember in and you are bound to get a list containing what you want.

Is there anything like this for the p900. I know that there was a similar thing for palms (and treos I pressume) but have not seen this for the SE's.

If you need an improved search method, just configure in the search function under contacts to search in every field.

That's a good tip!

It's still not as easy as the MS Smartphone way though. With the flip closed if you go into Contacts you dont get that option.

The Vito software looks quite good, but for $20 I'm not sure it's worth it. (http://vitotechnology.com/products/quickcontact_p800.html)

The ability to search for numbers as well as letters was ver cool.
