Morning all,

I have a prob with my P800 that i hope someone outthere in the Esato community can help me with.
I have downloaded several game files or packs (inc EDoom) using the Opera browser on the phone and saved it. Unfortunately, i have not been able to open any of these files but get a error message 'Unrecognized format - no viewer can be found to open the file'. Most files are in .sis format.

Can anyone out there help?

Sis is the correct format.
To install them go to "Application" -> "Install"

this is because they get downloaded in .zip format not .sis so you'll need to unzip them, i think www.my-symbian.com have a unzipping tool under compression section in the downloads sectio, get that on your phone and you can then unzip it and it will work! simple.

alternatively use a PC, unzip it then send your .sis files over to your phone using the cradle

i have already got 'jzip' on my p800 and have extracted the files - when i go to file manager to install, i don't see a file that i can do this...all i see are 'viewer' files (icon with a magnifying glass) and also ones with a '?' mark next to them..

am i doing something wrong??

Hey i have the same problem if i download from wap/gprs .... but then if i copy to pc they still do not work but downloading the same file from the web works fine..... i think it must be a download error because its mainly larger files that dont work (what a waste of money)
