I guess the video is taken with an infrared light source. In both P800/900 you can see the light from a remote control. It is not strong enough to take pictures. But such light sources are commercial available.

Basically every CCD can have night vision... most digital cameras have this feature... you just need a good infrared light source... that's what that guy should have used for the video.

Strictly speaking the P900 uses a CMOS chip in it's camera not a CCD, but StarKnight is absolutely right. All digicam sensors can see infrared light, just point yours at a TV remote control and you'll see.
You do need a lot of infrared light to see anything using this technique though; I have an i/r filter for my digicam but it's only really usable on a very bright day. You can buy i/r light sources from good electrical suppliers, and I've seen the odd i/r LED torch for sale on eBay too.

You've got me confused as well, in the video it looks like he's pointing at a teddy bear and waving his hand in front of it.
Mredd: I think you're right, at the start of the video the person looks to be adjusting something on the top of the P900, I would like to know how it's done if it's genuine. Actually, watching again it looks like the person is just pressing the camera button...

It is very simple... the infrared light source was not coming from the P900 or another mobile... it can be positioned everywhere in the room if it is strong enough... just light a common lamp... and he can even leave it on... then simply switching the room's light off he showed how P900's CMOS can take pictures in the dark

Here's the latest update:
Reading the latest replies in the original thread, the person says he did not use any external equipment and he said that the procedure is within the p900 itself. He also mentioned that this can also be done on the P800.

Why isn't he telling people how to do it then?
