I am not slagging of SE at all to set things straight! I really want to like SE phones......BUT........

The most annoying thing about the T610/Z600/T68 (had phones briefly) was the fact that they were so damn slow!

General menu and especially text engine were so slow.

Have SE solved this yet. I really want a decent small sized phone with most of the feature that the T630 has, which is Apple iSync Compatiable that has a good fast menu system.

I have always swayed towards nokias but since purchasing an iBook i could really go for SE phone that will Sync nicely.

If any one has any input in to this matter I would be extremely greatful. I will be happy to buy it if people can assure me it is faster.

I feel it is. With the text engine you can be tapping in your message and it's a couple of words behind. that is the reason i gave up both the z600 and t610

i must be a really slow texter then as i've never experinced it with either the t610 or z600.

i think the only way you'll find out is buy trying before you buy the phone?

Instead of arguing if S//E is good or not - this is a matter of personal taste - Ill just answer your question.

The T630 is basically the same phone as T610 and Z600 - only thing different is screen and casing.
Therefore if you feel that the T610 textinput is slow and annoying then chances are you will feel the same about T630. It is improved on T610/Z600/T630 compared to T68i though.

PS: regardless of how much S//E fan I am - it is a fact that sms writing is faster on most Nokias - so whay start arguing about that ?
