Has anyone else had this with their P900? I prefer the P900 with the flip removed, but each time I have done so pressing back (away) on the jog dial hasn't worked while in flip removed. Once the flip is back on, it works fine, allowing me to cancel options, go back etc. It's very annoying not having it, is this a fault with my P900?

Thanks,
John

i have latest update but the same problem though.
when in flip removed mode, my jog dial back default option (esc) seems not working many times. i used "key mapper" and map key to 'esc' and things got better but not perfect. when i put flip back-on jog dial back works fine

mine doesnt work either.. you can over come this by connecting the two bottom pins on the left when you remove the flip. if you do a search, you will find a picture of what i am talking about

i did it, and mine works fine now..

hi tej,

do you have to remove your connection between the two pins if you want the flip attached?

my one have to remove that connection. If not, the real keypad wouldn't work properly!

so poor us!

i've not tried putting the flip back on, but if i do, i will remove the connection..

i have simply used a small strand of wire and some blutac! LOL! but it works, its easy to DIY, and it can be removed easily and quickly

i just put the flip back on now(its annoying trying to text using the touch screen in a moving car or tube!)

and i noticed that as soon as the flip was connected to the phone, the display brightened up! i was beggining to get a little annoyed at the brightness, and now its nice and bright

tej

you suggest better flip on?

i agree it is very difficult to call while driving with removed flip

what about regarding screen protection, is it better protected with flip/on?

i feel quite paranoid having the phone in my pocket without the flip! i feel like im gonna damage the screen.

i hate having to open the flip all the time to reach the majority of features, but i hate not having solid buttons!

i wouldnt know about dialing while driving! thats illegal here! if i was to dial while driving, i would use the speed dial
