> What does a tower icon represent in a T68i?
Bookmark topic
While roaming, one celluler operator had an icon in the shape of a tower next to it. What does this represent?

In your phone(go to connections menu) you can choose which operators to favor(one might be cheaper in roaming with your priceplan).The phone will stick to this operator even if another has a stronger signal in that area.The name of the operator on the list will appear with the little tower.

Even if I have prefered networks in roaming I never had this on the T68i - T610 and Z600

@Jim
This is quite strange. Maybe you have more than one preferred roaming operator in the same country. You might try to change that.
I've had a t68m/i a t610 and they both had this little icon showing up.

No, only one operator in each country but I think that it has to do with my SIM card, it is 6 years old now

I have had T68i for more than 1,5 years now. Recently I replaced the SIM. With old SIM my phone showed the symbols of forbidden networks. Now the place for those symbols is empty.
This happened also with my girfriend's phone T65. But when she was abroad and then came back to home country - those symbols were back. Then she had to replace the SIM. And again those symbols disappeared.
But I guess when we go abroad again, the SIM will go smarter
