Checking the installation of Sony Ericsson Update Service

and it just sits there... i have tried using this site before and it opens the software up....

Anyone having problems???

If you know how to resolve this it would be appreciated!!!!

Hi,
I've encountered problems with the online update when I use Internet Explorer, not quite the same as your problem but basically it also just sits there doing nothing on mine (at a later stage of installation).

I switched to using Netscape for the online update and it works smoothly! Someone else on a thread similar to this mentioned using Opera browser with no problems too, it must be an IE thing.

Install Opera 7.23 with java runtime, there is a free version. IE had the same prob for me too. The update system runs java apps, and seems to hang at the same point, possible microsoft JVM prob!

Check your security settings in IE. On my pc I had too tight security..
