Hi Ladies an Gents, im new to the p800 and hopeing for some info plz.

Ok, quesions...
1, is Opera connecting to my laptop connection when bluetooth is on??
because i'm not getting the little gprs icon but seems to be displaying pages ok? Connection box for net on lappy shows tx and rx when using opera on phone.
2, the p800 seems to crash quite frequently, sometimes once a day- so bad i have to remove the batt to get it to work again- then it boots ok!- 7.5mb ram free on main os. msd pretty full- ish.
3,I have sman prog on computer, is this worth putting on phone??
4, Is there any way i can increase the non existant signal i get @ work, ie, a car kit ariel or summit??.

5, should i have bought a p900 instead..................(possibly i think)

Thanks in advance,
Billy.

@crx
Yes, this works for the P900 too. If you don't have some sort of program to close running applications installed, then unfortunately your applications are still running in the b/ground even though you have switched to another application (unless the application you have happens to have an 'exit' or 'quit' option!)

Closing the flip doesn't automatically clear these apps unless you have Sman installed and running.

crx, not sure about sman on p900, i'm pretty new to the p800 and all its probs, it,s the most buggy phone iv'e ever had- but also the most advanced- good with the bad i suppose, but the p8/900 impress me, im a gadget freak you coud say. Someone on here will help you with you sman question on the p9.
I'm still battling with setting up my email from the phone, i can get my inbox and everything else when connected to mymail.ie through opera or net, but cant sort it in the device, still i'll battle on,lol.

Thanks for the input guys.

If you switch to another app, the old one is still running in the background. The phone will close background applications as it needs to, but in some cases you need a hard flush for things like VRally to get enough memory. Also, some applications can cause the phone to consume power while running in the background, so you need to charge your phone more often. Forcing them to close with SMan is nice
