In responce to bobafett's "The good old times..." thread (excellent idea, I feel the same way), here is proof for those of us who yet don't know that Ericsson is still making those phones we still love so much. Indeed, they are DECT or DECT/GSM but look at those specs and that beautiful, clean, Swedish design... Gotta love it!

DT290
DT570 - This is as close as it gets to my old S868 - God bless its soul!
DT590 - This is impressive!!! (check out the menu system and the 101x80 screen)
DT430
DT412
DT422

Your take!

Bobafett, the links are in the first post - just enter via web and you'll see. They're available on the Ericsson website. This message was posted from a T310

I'm sorry but these are bricks. I mean there is not design whatsoever they are just black bricks.

davieboi, I hope you are aware that these are just enterprise phones, i.e. used solely for their functions in a business environment. This might come as a shock to you, but in such an environment, design is NOT the paramount consideration. You must have noticed that some are dust or water resistant or incorporate functions for personal safety - would you rather be safe because you have a brick saving your life or be burried with a really fashionable phone?!

Anyway, this was just a fun thread showing that Ericsson are STILL making phones - maybe for veterans like me who owned lots of Ericsson made Swedish bricks that didn't need software upgrades...
