Working P900 MMS settings for FIDO
that I got from HoFo.
1. a MMS internet account
2. a FIDO WAP account
3. a MMS messaging account
Here is a step by step for each of the above account settings
1 - Internet Account
Go to control Panel
Select Internet accounts
Once in Internet Accounts, select "new"
Account name "fido mms"
Connection type "GPRS"
Click "advanced" button at bottom
Check "user name and password required"
User name "fido"
Password "fido"
address "wap.fido.ca"
click "done"
You should be back at the internet account sub window, click "done" again
You should now be at the main internet accounts window, click done again.
Now you are back in the control panel.
Internet account is finished.
2 - Wap Account
Select "Wap Accounts" (If you already have a "Fido wap" account you still will make a new one.)
Click new
Account name "Fido Wap MMS"
internet account "fido mms" (this is a drop down box, you must select the account we made in step 1 above. If you do not have the Fido mms account, please revisit step 1 above)
check "use proxy"
address "205.151.11.11"
port "9201"
username "fido"
password "fido"
click the done button
You are now back to the main wap accounts window. CLick the done button.
You should now be back in the control panel
Wap account settings are now done
3 - Messaging Account
Click on "Messaging Account"
Select the MMS tab at the bottom of the Messaging accounts window
service centre addresss "http://mms.wirelesslab.ca"
wap account "Fido Wap MMS" (This is a drop down box, you must select the account we made in step 2 above. If you do not have the Fido Wap MMS account, please revisit step 2 above)
Automatic "on"
Download size "No restrictions" ( I imagine you can change this to whatever your heart desires)
Select done
You will now be back in the Control panel.
You are finished!!
MMS away!!!
I would be curious to know if this works for the P800 as well, if you try it and it does post your results!
Be very careful about how many MMS's you send though!!! Some people sent less than 10 and got billed for $20; albeit a huge glitch though and took about a full month for pricing to be adjusted by customer service. Call them before you do your first one and ask how much is. NO you DO NOT have to have MMS capability installed onto your account, just GPRS ability!!
enjoy.
PS go for the $30/mth unlimited Eves/Wkends 150 day minutes and unlimited NATIONWIDE calling to Fido and from FIDO clients!!! In Canada that is!!!
Its a beautiful thing!

SOrry about that man. Well you've played with a Transformer toy or Rubix cube in your life right?? Well take a few minutes or a half hour, and see if you can put in the settings that I've posted, cool? I'm sure that if your phone is unlocked it'll work. or see if you can modify your existing phone GPRS settings setup.
Let me know how that goes and if it doesn't then post back soon anyway and I'll see if I can search around for complete directions for you!

Thanks but no the settings are different. I have my WAP setup already but the Email settings are separate from that and it is not part of MMS settings either
