i only liked 2 phones from ericsson the r380 (i think thats wat its called u know the pda one) and the t68 and i have never had a sony phone

This seems to be a topic which is on alot of peoples minds recently. I agree that ericsson should be left in the past but I don't agree with complelty dising ericsson. The best comparison I can think of for ericsson is to that of microsoft and apple. MS computers in my oppinion are dull crashy but popular because everyone has one. Where as apple are stylish and are less crashy. I think this is like nokia and ericsson, nokia are popular but well boring in my opinion and featureless. But I think before sony, ericsson were never going to make a come back. But with sony's money and power on the market they have turned aorund using both ericssons phone knowledge and sonys more technical knowledge. Personaly I agree that we should keep ericsson as the past and not just try to sweep it under the carpet and I don't think it should be swept under the carpet. However I have seen a thread recently about near enough 50% of people saying they would like to have a SE as their next phone. So what I think we should stop doing is moaning about who is best, ericsson before sony or sony etc etc and look at what the two have done together and how they have turned SE into a possible (I hope) nokia beater.

the gh618 was the best phone i have ever used!
though ericsson is still making networks do you know that?
so it's not the past it's the future 3g!
