I like the clock that comes on after a period of inactivity, but I can't see it in a dark room/outside. What I'd like to be able to do is nudge the scrollwheel to bring the backlight on, and see the clock that way, but obviously nudging the scrollwheel shuts the clock down.

Is there some setting that will allow me to do this?

Many thanks,

Winty

I do agree with you. As much as I know it's impossible to turn on the backlight without being forced to push the JOG Dial button or press the "OK" key.

There is a new version to download though at www.sonyericsson.com which makes the clock a bit bigger and easier to read.

Bundi1;

Here is the complete link: http://www.sonyericsson.com/updateservice/p900/

Unfortunately there is a problem with the site at this moment?!

Edit: Oh, and this a complete new version/upgrade to the P900, not only a clocksetting!

No, its not down. You need a capital "P" in P900 to make it work..

i.e. http://www.sonyericsson.com/updateservice/P900

this is yet another advantage of the ericsson platform versus the symbian os. in t610 you can have the click lightened up by pressing the volume buttons. should be the same with the jogdial. but symbian lacks so many details like this...

It says i already have the latest version, but the clock is still small ??:-

For CDA....../3, the latest organiser version is R1C01. Now you need to compare this version number with the one in your phone.

I that case you should have seen the size of the clock before the installation!
