Say u dropped it in a river or canal, then they probly wont have any p800's left,so u then offer the difference in cash, sorted! :-) Hopefully :-l depends on ur provider tho.

But then you'd have to sell a p800 with a blocked IMEI, which would mean you'd have to do even more illegal things for it to work...
I dont think selling a p800 which has been reported stolen is gonna work too well these days...

I don’t think you’d have to worry about getting banned for talking about committing insurance fraud on Esato. You’d only have to worry about us laughing at you if/when you get caught.

no, it will just not work on any UK network.
And then if you try and connect it, ie. put a sim card in and turn the phone on, i assume the IMEI will be logged onto the network, it won't work, but the network will know a stolen phone is trying to connect to the network. I'm not sure how it works from there, but I mean if they know what Cell's ur connected to, they could do some calculations and work out where you are (roughly).
But i'm not sure how far mobile phone operaters/companies actually take it.
Edit: and whatever happens, the person you sell it to, will then call up to ask why it isn't working, the network will tell them this is a stolen phone, then you will get reported.
