Hi U all, this is no joke:
Finally the fabolous coder of EScumm, Sprawl, in cooperation with Toni W., a WinUAEs Coder and me is ready to make a try....
After some talk it got clear that :
"doing a basic port without the JIT compiler and Picasso support would be alot simpler and if enough people were interested I might do it. It would probably be a A500 only emu in that case. " (Sprawl)

Even if it is not sure speed will be okay, nobody knows that it wonīt and... indeed some arguments speek for the project (no fpu emulation needed, no picasso needed, no JIT needed, A500 can be isolated).

So what can YOU do to support that ??

If you are not a member yet, do that little job and register, itīs worth it ! I know here in Esato there are a lot of optimistic dreamers. So I hope many of you will push that project now. DO IT. MAKE THE DREAM COME TRUE ! !! !

I used to own several amigas, loved them, used them every day.. Great platform! (or was), but what is a great platform with useless controls? Unless you have some breakthrough ideas in that area?

All the emulators so far have totally failed in that area IMHO. I bet it's possible speed vise though.

Same to me.
I'm a lover of emulators... Coinop (MAME), Commodore 64, Commodore AMIGA, Gameboy and so on...

But SonyEricsson P800/P900 is everything but a mobile for games...

That's why there are just a few games for these products if compared to Nokia 7650/3650/Engage ones !

Hope one day or another someone (if not SonyEricsson) will fill this hole producing a joystick or something similar, with a small size, for their top-level mobiles... until then every attempt to play wathever game on them will fail...

Having owned both Atari ST & Amiga, I'll go with an Amiga emulator anyday. Loved my Amiga & best Home computer I ever had before modern High End PC's

I used to have an atari st. Beast of a machine. They have stood the test of time better due to their midi capabilities This message was posted from a Nokia

Oh noooooooooooo....

Not an Atari ST vs Amiga battle...

Not heard one of those for many years

I had an Amiga as it was graphically and audibly better.

Before that I had an Atari 800 (the same guy developed the amiga chips)

Just a shame the technically best product does not always win.

Spectrum vs Atari 800
Betamax vs VHS
PS2 vs XBOX

I always love the technically best product. unfortunatly joe public seem to often swayed by brand names and advertizing campaigns.

Such is life

x box came out a year later than ps2 and had obviously more power behind it. thats not a fair comment to say,.

but it still does make sense what you say

oooops! what have i done!? the 520 st did have a faster processor than the amiga A500, but i digress. the reason i always liked the st more was cos of the midi interface and the fact that tos was always better than workbench!
